Hey, I’m James.. a Perth born photographer and proud owner of Numero Studios - a passion project that combines my love of people, fashion photography and fine art portraiture.

For the past 15 years I have explored portrait photography as a medium to help people all over Australia discover, embrace & express themselves. Going into fashion & portrait photography, I never would have guessed there would be such a personal & transformational element to this process but over the years I believe this has been my calling.

In this new chapter of my photographic journey, my goal is to create stunning timeless portraits for the people of Perth that is real, honest and full of soul. My hope is to create a time capsule within the photograph that expresses you at this very moment of your life.

Completely no judgement, I love to meet and photograph people from all walks of life and be inspired by you when getting creative.

How it Works

  • Book a Session

    Book your session online and we will be in touch to organise a shoot date that best suits your schedule. Alternatively send us a message if you would prefer to chat first and we can answer any questions.

  • Tell Us About Yourself

    After booking you will receive a “Collaboration Form” to optionally share any thing you wish to.

    Covers everything from the personal such as story, journey, challenges, insecurities, aspirations or celebrations to the more visual side of things like style, mood, artistry & aesthetic.

    This will help us to get to know you a little better and inspire the creative direction of the shoot.

  • Prepare for your Shoot

    Time to prepare the outfits you’d like to bring to your shoot. Some people like to keep it simple while others like to go all out. There’s no right or wrong here, it’s about you at the end of the day and how you would like to express yourself.

  • The Photo Shoot

    Although the shoot will have a general creative direction, there will always be room for spontaneity and being in the moment. Being in tune with these moments can often lead to creating the most special photographs.

    With expert lighting, guidance and artistry you will be supported throughout the entire journey (no in front of camera experience required)… We got you!

  • Photo Purchase Session

    Within a week of your shoot you will be invited to an online photo purchase session where you can view and purchase your most loved photographs from the shoot. While we specialise and believe in the eternal power of beautifully crafted prints and wall art, we also offer digital images.

  • The Final Touch

    Within 2 weeks after purchasing we will do a final photo grade and subtle retouch before any printing/framing is done. Your final photographs will then be sent out to you to cherish and enjoy forever.

FAQ

Do I have to be a model?

Absolutely not, we love to photograph people from all walks of life and everyone is welcome!

Do I bring my own clothes?

Yes, you will bring a few different options including any accessories. This is something we can discuss when deciding on creative direction of the shoot.

I’ve never done this before, does that matter?

Not at all.. we got you! About 90% of people we now photograph have never been professionally shot before, you are in safe hands and will be guided the whole process through posing, what to wear etc. It’s actually quite a fun and special experience and we’ll ensure you create some photographic art that you will love.
